Sunroom

When my hubby and I bought our house almost three years ago, we fell in love with the covered deck on the back. What we learned afterwards is that the IDIOT who built it did so with no pitch. This means it's not angled to let the rainwater drain off - instead it just comes right through everything. Well our fear is that rainwater is now starting to back under our roof and over our ceilings (we have a water spot that has appeared in our kitchen). So we got a quote to remove the deck roof from a really nice guy named Corey Williams. He gave us a very fair price, but ...

what we really want is a new sunroom. So we met with a company this morning and are giving serious consideration to adding a sunroom to the back of our house. We're so excited about the prospect, but nervous about the price $25,000 for 256 square feet. It comes out to about $90 p/square foot which is about normal on new construction. They have a 15-year payment plan which seems really high. When you buy a truck for $25,000, for instance, it costs about $300 or so a month for 5 years. They want $265 p/month for 15 years. Uh... no? So if we can get some financing figured out, we may go for it.

I'm going to talk to the BEST LENDER IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE to see if he can throw together some numbers to refinance and loan consolidation. His name is Scott Matuk and he is awesome! Wish us luck!
